Location library shows North West Victoria in the best light

The Sunraysia Mallee Economic Development Board (SMEDB) has coordinated a cross-municipality project on behalf of Film Victoria to produce a film location library that showcases north west Victoria’s visual splendour.

The location library hosts photos and descriptions from Buloke Shire, Hindmarsh Shire, Horsham Rural City, Mildura Rural City, Swan Hill Rural City, West Wimmera Shire and Yarriambiack Shire covering townships, geological formations, landscapes, waterways and natural habitats.

Film director and writer Richard Gray says “Having firsthand experience in scouting locations in North West Victoria for Fish Out Of Water, a Fox8 global warming document hosted by Ian Thorpe, a resource like this is invaluable.”

“North West Victoria has so much to offer and we hope to be back in the region filming my feature film When She Gets There for distribution by Roadshow Films,” Mr Gray added.

Film Victoria provides strategic leadership and assistance to the film, television and new media industry of Victoria. As the film commission for the state, Film Victoria offers assistance with locations, production contacts and travel and working information. It manages Victoria’s two incentive funds to attract film and television production to the state.
