The
Sunraysia Mallee Economic Development Board (SMEDB) is a Section
86 Committee of Mildura Rural City Council (MRCC). SMEDB is funded
by all businesses and enterprises in the MRCC through contributions
to the economic development differential rate and by grants received
from the State and Federal Government.
SMEDB has a board of nine
industry leaders, MRCC’s portfolio councillor for economic
development and an observer from Wentworth Shire Council.
SMEDB
has a staff of five, including a Chief Executive Officer, two
Economic Development Project Officers, an Economic Development
Officer and the Mildura Wines Coordinator.
